Burrus endorses Dimondstein for APWU President

As we told you last week, former APWU President Bill Burrus had announced that he would be endorsing a slate of candidates in the upcoming APWU National Leadership elections. Burrus didn’t say at the time just who he would be supporting, but since he had made it clear that he opposed the re-election of incumbent President Cliff Guffey, there was only one other choice, and today he made it official:

With confidence in their capabilities and their dedication to the membership, I endorse the candidates of the APWU Members’ First Team led by Mark Dimondstein for President.

    From the point of view of a 42-year member of the NALC, it likely doesn’t matter who leads the APWU in the future. Past sellouts and short-sighted decisions by previous and current APWU leadership have already done irreparable damage to all Postal Service craft unions.
