USPS rubberstamps Net postage

From Precision Marketing:

The US Post Office is testing a scheme to enable Internet users to purchase and download postage from the Web.

In collaboration with product providers, such as E-Stamp’s Internet Postage, NeoPost’s PostagePlus and StampMaster’s Internet Postage, the concept is to produce software that will be “postage-enabled” to let customers debit their accounts and print postage directly onto envelopes.

The software should be available by next year, with an initial US Post Office-approved-NeoPost planned for this year.
