‘It’s Really Frustrating’ USPS Mail Delivery Issues Remain Throughout Baltimore

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) — The lack of mail service has been an ongoing problem for many for over a year now.

“It’s really frustrating, bills are late because we’re not even receiving them. I just don’t know what to do at this point,” said Brittne Bryan, Dundalk resident.

Some Dundalk residents said they are just now receiving their mail postmarked in April and have now resorted to making daily trips to the post office to see what’s the hold-up.

“I’m getting the informed delivery. So it’s showing me pictures of what I’m supposed to receive every day and even when I come to pick it up, I’m still not getting that mail. So, where’s that mail?” said Bryan.

They can’t or won’t hire anyone and, when people volunteer to help, they’re turned away. So the Dundalk post office is too inept to do the work on their own (their ineptitude goes much further back than the pandemic, and everyone in Dundalk knows it), can’t/won’t hire additional paid help, and declines volunteer help. Well, they’d better figure something out, and soon, because they’ve pushed their luck a little too far, a little too often, and now they’re in the political crosshairs. If it was up to me, everyone in the sorting area would be fired, and fresh employees brought in. If that doesn’t help, we move onto the actual delivery people. After that, the nasty, ignorant people that work the front counter. We’d go a section at a time, until people stop dragging their feet and work like they’re being paid a decent amount and with good benefits. If it takes a 100% turnover, so be it.
