ARIPEKA, Fla. (WFLA) – Aripeka could soon be a town without a post office.
The small community that straddles the Pasco-Hernando County line is in danger of losing its post office if an agreement between the postal service and the property owner can’t be reached.
Residents have put of a petition outside of the post office for locals to sign.
“It’s been years in town and if it’s gone, we’re in trouble,” said Sheri Pratt who borrowed a car to pick up her mail today.
“A lot of us out here don’t have vehicles, so we don’t have transportation and getting to Hudson to get our mail is difficult.”
