It’s January, so it must be time for the annual “Letter carriers compete to see who can wear shorts the longest” story. This story actually ran this past Friday, so let’s hope these guys got there long pants on before this week’s sub-zero temperatures…
JEFFERSON CITY, MO. — Two Jefferson City mail carriers are raising money and awareness for the hungry by wearing shorts on their routes all winter long.
Danial Smith and Joe McGrail have a bet; the first one to put on pants has to donate $50 to the Food Bank of Central and Northeast Missouri. If both make it to summer without having traded their shorts for pants, they will both make a donation.
