California: Fake postal worker steals parcels out of PO

A woman impersonating a postal worker walked into the Novato post office Friday and escaped with numerous packages set to be mailed, investigators reported.

Postal inspectors suspect the woman, who was wearing a postal uniform, also attempted the crime at a post office in San Rafael on Friday morning, said post office spokesman Jeff Fitch.

Both incidents occurred between 6 and 6:30 a.m. In the Novato case, the woman was able to enter through a back door in the loading area.

Post Offices are far from secure, as this incident proves. Anyone can drive into the back parking areas just as this woman did!
