Texas: 2 carriers plead guilty to failing to deliver mail

Two former postal carriers pleaded guilty Wednesday to federal charges for failing to deliver mail.

Charles Allen Tollett of Borger and Lesa Marie Stark pleaded guilty to the charges in Amarillo’s U.S. District Court.

According to federal court records, a postal customer and a retired U.S. Postal Service employee reported to the postmaster in Dumas on April 18 that he had discovered undelivered mail in a dumpster behind his residence in Dumas.

A total of 437 pieces of mail were recovered from the two dumpsters.
