Royal Mail van driver forced out of vehicle by hijacker in north Belfast

A Royal Mail van driver has been forced out of his vehicle by a hijacker armed with a screwdriver in north Belfast.

The incident happened in Glandore Avenue, off the Antrim Road, shortly before 8am on Wednesday morning. The hijacker made off in the van, which was was recovered a short distance away in Skegoneill Avenue.

The driver of the van was not injured but left badly shaken by the ordeal.
