Mansfield NJ woman accused of drunkenly assaulting mailman, police say

MANSFIELD — A woman who’s been charged with drunken attacks in the past was charged Friday with assaulting a mailman while intoxicated, police said.

Rachael Figueiredo, 52, was charged with simple assault and harassment from the Nov. 9 incident, said Chief Michael Reilly of the Mansfield police.

The U.S. Postal worker was making his afternoon mail delivery at the Alexandria Apartment Complex when an intoxicated Figueiredo allegedly began following him, while yelling and cursing at him, Reilly said.
