Connecticut postal theft suspect held on $250,000

LITCHFIELD — A New Jersey man accused of stealing thousands of dollars worth of postal money orders from three Northwest Corner post offices was ordered held Thursday on a $250,000 bond when he appeared before Judge Richard M. Marano in Bantam Superior Court.

Elvin Caballero, 33, of 20 Rose St., South River, was identified by postal clerks as the man with gold rimmed teeth spotted in and around post offices in Connecticut.
