Nebraska window clerk pleads not guilty to theft of postal funds

A Fremont man has pleaded not guilty to federal charges he faces after being accused of misappropriating U.S. Postal Service funds.

Michael Peitzmeier, 48, had his initial appearance in U.S. District Court at the Roman L. Hruska Federal Courthouse in Omaha on Aug. 19.

U.S. Magistrate Judge F.A. Gossett appointed a federal public defender to the case.
