Connecticut letter carrier in serious condition after motor vehicle accident

From the Waterford CT Police department:

On 03/13/2013 at approximately 1:47p.m, members of the Waterford Police Department, along with Waterford Emergency medical services responded to a one car motor vehicle accident on Butlertown Rd. in the area of the Montville town line. The vehicle involved was a US postal delivery vehicle occupied by a 54 year old male operator. No other passengers were present. The male operator was diagnosed with serious injuries at the scene and transported by Life Star helicopter to Hartford Hospital The incident remains under investigation by members of the police department’s A.I.T team. The name of the operator is not being released at this time pending notification of all family members.
