China’s postal service struggles with holiday demand

ANYONE who thinks the Royal Mail Christmas service is bad should probably take a look at these astonishing photos.

Chinese postal workers were left struggling by an ever-growing tradition in the country.

Singles Day, which was started by students in the 1990s, sees unpartnered youngsters send presents to themselves to celebrate their solo status.

But China’s postal service was almost brought to a halt, as workers were unable to cope with the huge mountain of packages piled up outside their offices.
