Video: Texas police won’t file charges against unlicensed driver who severely injured letter carrier

Police in Corpus Christie Texas say they won’t file charges or even issue a ticket to an unlicensed 18 year old driver whose car crushed a letter carrier against the wall of a convenience store- because the incident happened on private property. While the carrier is expected to survive, it does make you wonder about how the law works in Texas- suppose the carrier had been killed? Or suppose that, instead of a letter carrier, the victim had been a prominent politician, or a police officer. I have a funny feeling the outcome might have been different…
