Businesses aghast that Royal Mail wants to stop selling stamps

BUSINESSES in a commercial centre on the outskirts of Truro are aghast at plans from the Royal Mail to stop selling stamps.

The sorting office at Newham has announced it will discontinue the sale of stamps from September 24.

Firms in Newham – where more than 1,000 people are employed – say the decision is bad news for an area trying to build on its business credentials.

The vast Royal Mail centre is also popular with many other postal service users who enjoy being able to park directly outside.
