Yoncalla, OR (KMTR) A post office was robbed at gunpoint Thursday night, now police are looking for a suspect. They say a man wearing a ski mask walked into the Yoncalla post office, pointed a gun at an employee, and demanded cash.
Officials say the suspect took an undisclosed amount of money and ran off. The Postal Inspection Service was called down from Portland. The federal agency is working with the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office. They’re offering up to a 50,000 dollar reward for information leading to a suspect.
The employee wasn’t hurt, and even showed up to work the next day.
