NICE SPEECH; DID IT FALL ON DEAF EARS?

  • paulk

He hit everything on the head. The Postmaster General has started the process of ending the Postal Service. Defazio is right…this guy should be fired and whom ever is helping him to make these decisions should also be fired. Delaying the mail will only make more people pay bills on line for fear of late charges. It’s wrong to close any Post Office or Plant. The American public needs the Postal Service. If the President doesn’t get off his ass and help then we are sadly in the final years of what is called the Postal Service.

So mismanaged fire all top management people, and put service back into the Post Office

Finally!!!! This guy’s been listening!!! Postal workers have been trying to get this out to the public for years. Donahoe and Potter have driven this place into the ground with their greed. The PO rakes in billions, but the public never hears it. The top execs earn more then Obama’s cabinet members, and Donahoe earns more than Joe Biden. The PO is so short staffed, lines are out the door and carriers are delivering way past dark. The PO blames their losses on workforce costs, but they don’t tell the public that it’s the overtime costing millions to get the job done with so few workers. Also, a huge factor is contract violation grievances and lawsuits. Correcting these problems, along with cutting the disproportionate salary and benefit packages {including 100 % health care} would be the most obvious things to start with.

Thank You Congressman De Fazio. What everyone should realize after this KLOWN donahoe destroys the postal service and the Most profitable delivery areas are Gobbled up by our competiitors..he will have a job making six figures working for one of them, while postal workers will be forced to retire or collect unemployment or working for min. wage with no benefits. donahoe MUST GO!!

the only problem with this presentation by Rep. Defazio is that it was probably made to a empty house because his fellow congressmen and women dont really care about the small time working class in this country until it affects their voting block, and then it becomes a big enough problem to give attention. i have been a republican voter for my entire adult life and at this moment i am so angry with the arrogance and greed of my party that i will NEVER vote along the party line ever again. i, for one, will be voting for whoever has the best interest of the american people at heart and not some money-grubbing, narrow-minded,self-serving moron who takes his marching orders from the “at any cost” handbook of the party.
