Woman accused of stealing postal worker uniforms from laundry room surrenders

BLACKWOOD, N.J. (WPVI) — Washington Township police are investigating an alleged laundry room theft at an apartment complex in New Jersey. According to police, the woman they believe is seen in the surveillance video inside the laundry room has turned herself in around 5 p.m., Monday. California company fined $250K for fraudulent sale of postal uniforms

Los Angeles resident Carl Wayne Adrian, Sr., and his company, California Uniforms, Inc. were fined $250,000 and ordered to forfeit $135,000 worth of seized Postal uniform items. Adrian Sr. was also sentenced to 12 months of home detention by U.S. District Judge William Q. Hayes.

As revealed during their guilty plea, the defendants participated in a scheme to defraud the Postal Service by providing unlicensed vendors with access to the Postal Service uniform sales reimbursement system in return for a 10% kickback. Continue reading
