USPS has adjusted the postage refund policy for Priority Mail Express one-day shipments sent during the Dec. 22-25 holiday period.

United Parcel Service Inc. and FedEx Corp. are straining to keep up with holiday shipping volumes that have blown past expectations, delaying the delivery of some of the millions of online orders shoppers have placed since Thanksgiving.
UPS has relocated hundreds of staff from its headquarters and other corporate offices to help at shipping hubs struggling to handle record demand, according to people familiar with the situation. Already in advance of the busy holiday season, both UPS and FedEx had extended delivery windows on some routes, suspended delivery guarantees and refunds for certain weeks and stopped promising to deliver express packages by a certain time in some cases. RUDOLPH (WAOW) – One central Wisconsin village is extra busy this time of year thanks to a red-nose reindeer.
Many people are rushing to the post office in Rudolph to send their holiday cards and packages. The Wood County community will send thousands of letters because of its name.

WASHINGTON — Americans are expected to make Cyber Monday 2016 the largest ever and the U.S. Postal Service, the largest e-commerce deliverer, is ready.
The Postal Service will handle approximately 750 million packages this holiday season, an increase of more than 12 percent over last year. This is double the volume of packages handled just four years ago.
