Bridgeport NY post office suspends window service due to COVID-19

BRIDGEPORT NY – Postal officials are reporting that the Bridgeport Post Office, which straddles the borders of Madison and Onondaga Counties, will reduce its operations due to the impacts of COVID-19 on the office’s staff.

Effective Thursday, January 7, 2021, the Bridgeport Post Office will suspend regular retail operations, commonly known as window service.

Post office box mail and delivery of mail for customers served by a letter carrier will continue without disruption.

Oversized packages or signature-required articles for all customers who use the ZIP Code 13030 will be available for pickup in the Bridgeport Post Office during regular business hours, officials add.

The Bridgeport Post office, located at 7901 Bridgeport Minoa Rd, Bridgeport, NY 13030, is open weekdays from 8:45 am to noon and from 1:30 pm to 4:45 pm.  On Saturdays, the office will remain open, without retail services, from 9 am until noon until further notice.

There is no immediate timetable for return to full services.

Nearby offices for local residents to use for postal retail services like stamp sales, package shipments or money orders include the Kirkville Post Office, 6365 North Kirkville Road, or the Minoa Post Office, 115 North Main Street.
