CORINTH, Miss. (WTVA) – The Corinth mayor held a special ceremony for a postal worker whom people are calling a hero.
The postal carrier saved a teenage girl from a pack of dogs on Sunday morning.
Community members, city leaders and the family of Tess Lancaster gathered at City Hall Wednesday to honor Abby Puckett.
Several dogs attacked Lancaster as she was jogging along County Road 173.
Puckett managed to scare away the dogs with mace.
After the dogs ran away, Puckett put Lancaster in a truck and drove her to the nearest house and called 911.
