$50k reward in South Carolina postal worker assault case

The U.S. Postal Inspection Service is sharing a flyer with a sketch and suspected vehicle.

This is in the Long Creek area of Oconee County.

“Tranquil – this is the place you come to heal mentally and physically.”

That’s how Carlos Harris said he’d describe the community he’s visited on and off for 20 years, and why he didn’t expect to hear a postal worker reported being assaulted a stone’s throw from where we met him.

“I’m frightened actually,” said Harris. “”I couldn’t imagine anyone being hurt especially a mail lady in the course of her duties.”

Across the same intersection of Spider Valley and Academy Roads, Amy Boulton has a flyer of the sketch and suspected vehicle posted inside their Wildwater office.
