One dead in shooting at Dublin OH post office

DUBLIN, OH (WCMH) – Police say one man has died after an early morning shooting at a post office in Dublin.

It happened around 4:30am Saturday at the United States Post Office on the 6400 block of Emerald Parkway. According to Dublin Public Information Officer Lindsay Weisenaur, one man was shot and killed inside the facility. Police have not released the identity of the victim at this time.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, the suspect was apprehended and is currently in custody. Police say there is a second fatal shooting on Bowland Place that is related to the post office shooting. The second victim was also an employee of the postal service. She was an inspector at the post office where the suspect worked.

    not sure what the motive is but i wouldn’t be surprised if it were a boss abusing his / her power . this type of behavior still continues and it was suppose to stop in the work place with this new contract . workers are constantly being treated like crap .

    Absolutely no sympathy for a supervisor with the PO when this happens. The supervisors within the po are trained to mistreat all the carriers and I’m totally surprised this doesn’t happen more often. There is no doubt the shooter was mis treated and badgered by management. That’s the only way all postal management knows how to treat carriers.
