How does one go about having a post office employee investigated for tampering & with-holding mail? Even though I have my postal clerk hand cancel my mail (I thought this would ensure my mail would get delivered more efficiently), lately, I’ve accrued late fees and even a lien on my property because my mail never reached it’s destination. All mail was posted in plenty of time to get to where it needed to go, yet it’s never been seen again. I’ve also gotten some of my mail (I have a p.o. box) unsealed and gone through. I’m at my wits end about this. Any ideas?

    Report to Postal Inspection Service…

I’ve already put in a complaint to the Post Master General, and my state’s Attorney General. Haven’t heard anything as of yet, but I sure hope someone can help in some way.

Go to your Congressperson. I’m not kidding. Post Office hates when Congress gets involved. Works magic

Don’t blame USPS when your mail is unsealed and looks like it has been gone through! Many companies routinely send all their mail out unsealed because they apparently don’t think sealing it is worth the cost or handling problems or whatever. So thank the employees at the USPS plants who stuff what’s inside back in and then seal it by sticking the outside flap inside or some such. Believe me, they have many other things to do besides opening your mail and looking at it. NOT HAPPENING.

Oh, but it is happening. Unless you are a party to what’s been going on in the local post office here, please don’t group every post office into the same category. The mail that was gone through had an account number on it and my account was compromised. We’re just now in the process of trying to trace the point of breach. So, while you are most definitely entitled to your opinion, please don’t profess to know what I’m going through.

Hi. Yes, I’ve sent him an email every time there’s been an issue, and I’m about to send another one to both he and the Post Master General. The most important thing for the powers that be to realize is that I’m not going away!

Thank you. Yes, I’ve got an entire folder of documentation to help support my case. The piece of mail in question wasn’t mangled or wrinkled (I’ve had mail that has been caught in the machine before & usually, the postal workers will put it in a plastic sleeve with an apology), but that’s not the case with the compromised mail. Many emails have been sent over the last couple of weeks, and I will continue to do so until things are looked into. Just today, I ran into a lady outside the post office who has been experiencing many of the same issues. I don’t believe coincidence comes into play here!
