Wisconsin postal worker charged with mail theft

MADISON, WIS. — Tamara Donald, 39, Loves Park, Ill., is charged with four counts of mail theft, committed in June and July 2015, while she was an employee of the U.S. Postal Service in Beloit, Wis. The indictment alleges that she stole gift cards from envelopes intended to be conveyed by U.S. mail.  

If convicted, Donald faces a maximum sentence of five years in federal prison on each count. The charges against her are the result of an investigation by the U.S. Postal Service Office of Inspector General. The prosecution of this case will be handled by Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron Wegner.
