LEE COUNTY, FL –
A judge sentenced a former mail carrier who was caught on camera tossing mail into a dumpster to three years federal probation Monday.
Angelica Morman, 28, entered a guilty plea in November to one count of delay or destruction of mail, after previously pleading not guilty.
A restaurant surveillance camera caught the crime. It’s estimated Morman tossed out 418 pieces of mail in a dumpster behind a San Carlos Park pizza shop on August 13th, 2016.
The mother of three could have faced prison time for the accusations.
The judge gave Morman three years federal probation, required regular drug testing, a mental health evaluation, and that Morman must seek gainful employment.
