Video: California post office thieves steal mail trucks, lead deputies on chase

ACTON, Calif. (KABC) — Thieves stole two mail trucks and led deputies on a chase after burglarizing a U.S. Postal Service facility in Acton early Monday, just two weeks before Christmas.

The brazen post office burglary happened at about 3:30 a.m. in the 3300 block of Smith Avenue, according to officials from the Palmdale Sheriff’s Station.

Five sets of key rings with master keys to the rural community’s mail boxes were stolen during the burglary.

Two post office trucks full of mail were also taken and one led Palmdale sheriff’s deputies on a brief chase before the vehicle crashed near Shannondale Road and Sierra Highway, according to officials.

I wish someone would investigate the BELL GARDENS, Ca. post office. I mailed out Christmas gifts the beginning of December and it never arrived!!! Last scanned in Bell Gardens on 12/13/16 and hasn’t been seen since. (GOOGLE IT this has been going on for YEARS at that facility.)
