Coastsiders are experiencing the unwanted effects of a conundrum for shipping carriers and major online companies like Amazon: How to keep up with increased parcel shipping volume while keeping costs low and meeting delivery guarantees.

There’s no perfect solution in sight, as evidenced by the scores of unhappy Coastside U.S. Postal Service customers who report packages arriving days late or never, mail carriers failing to leave a slip in their mailbox indicating an attempted delivery, and parcels delivered to the wrong address.

About a dozen Coastside residents contacted the Review, largely reporting a similar pattern.
