A postal worker is facing charges after prosecutors say she stole stamps, money orders and PO Box rental payments.
Jennifer Passeck is charged with embezzling and converting to her own use proceeds and property of the United States Postal Service.
U.S. Attorney William Hochul’s Office says Passeck worked as a relief postmaster in Sodus Point between March 2013 and March 2015. During that time, prosecutors say she stole $19,504 worth of stamps, money orders and PO Box payments.
She was indicted on those charges on Tuesday. She now faces ten years in prison and a fine of $250,000.
