North Carolina post office under investigation by local Sheriff’s Office

The Sheriff’s office in Columbus County North Carolina says it is investigating an alleged employee theft from a post office in the county.

A total of $4,855 was allegedly taken by the employee, who issued money orders without reporting them or depositing the customer payments.

The Fayetteville Observer reports that the Sheriff’s office expects to issue a warrant soon, No further details were available.
