Kansas letter carrier rescues fallen customer

Sabetha, KS, Letter Carrier Heather Kaiser was delivering mail recently when a homeowner got her attention by knocking on a window from inside the house.

The man, who used a walker and could not speak English, had fallen and needed help. Kaiser called 911 and stayed with him until first responders arrived.

“I was so glad he was OK. I worried about him the rest of the day,” Kaiser said.

Postmaster Connie Stevenson praised Kaiser’s actions.

“Heather has an awesome work ethic and amazing attitude. I am proud to work with her,” Stevenson said.
