DENVER – A Denver letter carrier is the latest recipient of the Postal Hero award for helping a toddler he found wandering alone on a busy street.
Robert Batley says spotted the toddler early on March 2 in the 7800 block of Zuni while he was on his route. He says several cars passed by the child but didn’t stop. He got out and scooped up the diapered toddler and called 911
On Friday, Denver’s Postmaster honored Batley with a plaque and a letter.
