NEW ORLEANS – Businesses on bustling Frenchmen Street are filing complaints about a lack of U.S. Postal Service for nearly a week.
Residents in the French Quarter, Marigny and Bywater said poor service is now beyond the pale at the post office on Poland Avenue.
Analise Cisneros of Louisiana Music Factory the consistency of the post office is something that everyone grew up with.
“We take it for granted,” Cisneros said. “But when it stops working, it’s a bummer.”
More than a bummer for Offbeat Magazine which relies on mailed payments from advertisers to make its payroll.
