Video: Memphis postal worker wanted in violent attack on co-worker has been arrested

Update: WREG reports that the postal worker wanted for a vicious attack on a co-worker has been arrested:

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man wanted for assaulting a co-worker at the post office on South Third has been arrested.

Richard L. Martin was wanted on charges of aggravated assault and civil rights intimidation.

Martin was arrested at his home Monday morning by the Shelby County Sheriff’s Patrol Crime Response Unit.

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A Memphis man has a warrant out for his arrest after he allegedly attacked his work supervisor at the Post Office on 555 South Third St..

Police are asking the public to be on the lookout for Richard L. Martin, 59, of Tuggle Road.

The victim told police Martin came into her office, screamed racial slurs at her and punched her. He then beat her with a chair.

The victim suffered injuries to her eye, police said. She went to the hospital but is not in critical condition.

Police said Martin has a history of violence in the workplace, but a USPS representative said he has no history of violence at USPS.
