Video: Mail carrier recovering after being attacked with acid, $25,000 reward offered

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — The United States Postal Inspection Service is offering $25,000 to anyone who can help them find the person who threw acid on a postal worker Friday afternoon.

The federal worker assaulted is recovering at home.

“I thought he was in a big rush to be chasing her,” neighbor Iris Webb said.Friday afternoon, Webb was sitting in her living room when she said she heard a car pull up at the intersection of Fortner and Soccoro. Webb spotted a man hop out from the passenger’s side and dart across her yard.

“He had a cup in his hand,” said Webb.
