Was his seatbelt fastened?? Just wondering

  • J J

Do you know the law with postal workers and seat belts? Read it first then comment

Try reading the article again. It wouldn’t have mattered if the seat belt was fastened. The woman ran a stop sign and killed this postal employee.

What a pathetic comment. I’m a mail carrier and am sorry this carrier lost his life. It had nothing to do w his seat belts.

Actually, it could have something to do with seat belts. I am a safety captain at a station in Vegas. We had an accident a while back in which a carrier got hit by an idiot trying to time a stoplight. Our carrier was back carrying in a couple weeks. He was wearing his seatbelt. We haven’t heard any details of this accident, so I have no idea of all of the details.

It might have something to do with the carrier having to pull into the intersection before he could see around his mirrors though. If he didn’t have to pull out so far just to get a clear vision he might have seen her, and been able to take defensive measures. My condolences to the victim and his family.

That’s why you come to a complete stop, look left right left before moving again. I’ve avoided a few accidents like this.

I DID read the article………turns out he was EJECTED from his vehicle as reported today/

  • IIlIIl111

Why don’t YOU read todays article………………… Nothing to do with it????????????????????

  • IIlIIl111

What does that even mean besides being a stupid comment

“Alton Hall III, 62, died when a Nissan Altima driven by Lana
Matthews-Rhoden, 62, sped through a stop sign at East Owens Avenue at
North Mt. Hood Street and hit the right rear of the Grumman mail truck,
according to a Metro news release.
The Altima then hit an unoccupied vehicle parked on a driveway.
Police say the truck rotated and overturned, ejecting the mail carrier.”
