Steven Sheerer, 51, of Village Drive in Barnegat, was apprehended on Aug. 25, following a seven-month undercover operation, according to Stafford Police Department spokesman Officer Christopher Fritz.

He was arrested for helping facilitate an illegal drug trafficking operation from his job at the United States Postal Service. He was charged with hindering apprehension and conspiracy to commit possession of a controlled deadly substance or CDS.
