Former President of Fairbanks NAPS Chapter charged with embezzlement

naps-logoA Fairbanks Postal Service employee has been charged with embezzling $9,541 from a labor organization representing Postal Service supervisors, court records show.

A federal grand jury on Wednesday indicted Kenneth James Vanderwyst, 54. Vanderwyst was vice president and then president of the Fairbanks Chapter of the National Association of Postal Supervisors with access to the group’s bank account between late 2012 and April 7, 2015, the charges say.
