WMC Action News 5 – Memphis, TennesseeMEMPHIS, TN (WMC) -The U.S Postal inspection Service is offering a reward of up to $50 thousand after one of its drivers was robbed early Tuesday morning. It happened around 3:30 a.m. near the postal facility on Park Avenue. A postal worker driving an 18-wheeler filled with mail had stopped at a locked gate to unlock it and enter the postal facility.
That’s when a man pulled a gun on him and robbed him of $60, all the cash the driver had. “He needs to suffer the consequences, because that’s a bad thing to do,” Rico Ewing said.
Postal inspectors have video of the man as he walked down a nearby street. He is a thin man with a dark complexion in his early 20s around six feet tall. What is interesting is that he appears to be wearing skinny jeans and a hat described as a “Gilligan” or “boonie” hat.
