Video: Regina woman looking for Canada Post worker who saved her life 22 years ago

Lani Elliott is looking for a man who she says saved her life.

On June 25, 1993, Elliott was beaten by her then-husband with a baseball bat. She escaped and ran into the parking lot at the Golden Mile Mall in Regina.

Elliott jumped in front of a Canada Post vehicle. The postal worker took her to a payphone where she called 911.

“Whether they realize it or not, it was that small act of kindness that literally changed my life,” Elliott said. “They don’t realize that they changed my life and I never got the opportunity to say, ‘Thank you.’ I don’t know who that person was and I would really, really like to find them.”
