This week, the Senate passed the conference agreement on the fiscal year 2016 budget resolution, Senate Concurrent Resolution 11. The conference report stripped from the House-passed version of the budget resolution (House Concurrent Resolution 27) specific policy recommendations that would have had a devastating impact on NAPUS members. Nevertheless, the legislative landscape is still littered with landmines that could be harmful to the postal and federal community. In addition, this week, the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee approved four nominees to Postal Board of Governors and is conducting a series of Postal Roundtables to assist in the crafting the 2015 version of postal relief legislation.
