SAN ANTONIO – News 4 is helping frustrated homeowners cut through the red tape and get their broken mailboxes fixed.
People in the Feather Ridge subdivision near I-35 and Judson say they’ve been begging the United States Post Office to make the repairs ever since thieves stole several doors for outgoing mail two months ago.
So News 4 stepped in to help residents get the repairs.
"It’s not rocket science,” homeowner Mitch Marszalek says while examining the mail slot. “There’s a pin that the door goes on.”
It sure looks like an easy fix.
“The whole repair should not be five minutes,” Marszalek says.
But he says you wouldn’t believe how hard it’s been to fix two community mailboxes.
