GALVESTON – When you’re in your 90s, you tend to be pretty honest.
Such is the case for Walter Wier, a retired teacher who fell for a lottery scam.
"I was stupid and greedy," Wier admitted. "They were smooth."
But it turns out, a few postal workers on the island were smoother.
Mike Hogan works the post office counter and had an "Aha!" moment while helping Wier with a $6,000 money order.
