Kentucky rural carrier injured in motor vehicle accident

A Hopkinsville man was injured Saturday afternoon when he lost control of the vehicle he uses to deliver mail in Trigg County.

Jokari Mackie was on Riley Hollow Road when he lost control of his vehicle. It ran down an embankment and stopped when it struck a tree, said Trigg County Sheriff’s deputy Rick Burgess.

Mackie was taken by ambulance to Jennie Stuart Medical Center with pain in his leg.
