Video: Postal worker attacked by dogs in Schenectady

SCHENECTADY – Police in Schenectady are investigating after a postal worker was attacked by two dogs. It happened on Plymouth Avenue Monday evening. The postal worker was bitten several times and taken to the hospital. Police say the dog owner never licensed the dogs and she is likely to face charges.

The Albany Times Union reports:

The postman, who is described only as man in his 40s, was treated at the scene by the Schenectady Fire Department and taken by ambulance to nearby Ellis Hospital following the encounter which happened shortly before 2:30 p.m. on Plymouth Avenue.

Police said the owner of the dogs, Danielle Monty of Schenectady, was given two summonses for unlicensed dog and will likely face additional charges pending the completion of the investigation.
