Albuquerque postal gunman planned to kill himself over sick leave “hassling”

ALBUQUERQUE (KRQE) – The postal employee accused of bringing a gun to work Monday says he didn’t intend to hurt anyone but himself.

The man identified as Larry Lamascus is a vehicle maintenance worker at the shop next to the main post office on Broadway and mountain in downtown Albuquerque.

Lamascus’ supervisor says Lamascus pulled out a gun and pointed it at him then he wrestled it out of his hand. During the struggle, the gun went off. Lamascus says his intention was to kill himself in front of his supervisor, who he says hassled him over sick days.
