Video: USPS Systems at Work

Each day the United States Postal Service processes hundreds of millions of pieces of mail and delivers to over 150 million addresses. At the center of this bustling postal network are more than a hundred Processing and Distribution Centers spread across the United States. Follow these letters, catalogs, magazines, and parcels as they make their way through the Postal delivery network.

I enjoyed the video. I’m not certain that all the preparation to put flats into DPS order is any cost savings, since the mailers are required to bundle them in that order. The video also portrays carriers jobs to simply load the mail and take off. That will be the day!

Good video, should be shown on TV to all America. Then maybe people would secure their packages alot better.

Everyone on this thread should share it on their walls so the word can be spread out every non postal worker.

I agree with art, this is what the USPS should be communicating to our customers and more. Even some of the USPS employees really don’t know how each job that we do contributes toward the Big Picture. It’s bad enough that a line employee has to train his/her supervisor. If only THEY would really be HONEST and transparent, starting with PMG.
