A knock on the door at 10PM? It might be your mailman!

Most of us don’t expect people coming to the door late at night, but according to the official USPS twitter account, customers should expect their mail to be delivered as late as 10 PM:

Love when the USPS pays me over $56.00 per hour to deliver 21cent junk/standard mail. Management at USPS just like at veterans administration, fudging numbers to make paper pushers upstairs happy.

I live in scarsdale ny my mail comes after 8pm every night.
When I call the Post Office they tell me its the new the District Managers

Come on. Grow up. Emails stay in your inbox, direct deposits stay in your bank account, and U.S. mail stays in your mail box until you retrieve them at your leisure. The actual delivery time is practically irrelevant.

vast majority of our mail carriers deliver by 6pm, however, there are times
when delays cannot be prevented. Inclement weather and excessive volume are a
couple reasons delays may occur. We apologize for any inconvenience these
    delays might cause.
